Here at Canary we have an extensive amount of experience with designing on human terms, identifying the design stakeholders, and designing to satisfy their needs. We are living in a society where products are driven by technology and what the manufacturer can make, instead of considering what we actually need. Canary has experience on Human Centred Design ranging from small products through to large scale industrial facility designs. Canary can perform assessments on a design already completed, or join you in the journey from start to finish.

At Canary we are experienced at preparing expert witness evidence for court, working on joint expert witness statements, and cross examination under oath. We have provided evidence to support the court when understanding complex cases such as a fall from height (Pollock vs Cahills) or for more straight forwards cases such as the investigation of work-related upper limb disorder associated with repetitive work. Our principal consultant has passed the expert witness accreditation course certified by Cardiff University Bond Salon, to ensure that the evidence supplied is of value to the court as required.

For some people they will spend more time at their workplace than they would do at home, the average British worker works 42 hours a week not including any overtime. Canary can help you to evaluate the ergonomics of your workplace, set up a framework for measuring the mental and physical workload of all employees from the boss to the shop floor.

At Canary Designs we work with charities who support independent living for people outside of the normative population. We help to identify assistive technology, create accurate digital avatars of the person in need, and then create digital versions of assistive technology that may help.
