The Work “Gym”

Whether we are in an office or working out on a factory floor, your everyday tasks require some amount of physical effort. This session will demonstrate how energy expenditure is affected by environment, clothing and anthromechanics.
The workshop is a mixture of practical and theory based sessions that explore the following topics;

- The current HSE tool kit for manual work
- The MAC tool (Manual handling)
- The ART tool (Repetitive actions)
- The RAPP tool (Pushing / pulling Trolleys)
- REBA / RULA (Upper Limb task assessment)
- Developing a framework for measuring the physical strain of work on your entire workforce and the interventions required to manage it.
By the end of the session, the attendee will have a better understanding of the factors that combine to influence the physical effort applied at work and a framework for managing the health and wellbeing of their workforce.
Terms and Conditions
A single ticket for each session is £100 plus VAT. The sessions run from 10am until 4pm. Lunch is provided, please let us know about any dietary requirements when booking. Accommodation is not included but we can provide you with a list of places to stay. If you are booked onto a session and unable to attend, please provide us with at least 48hrs warning otherwise you will be charged the full fee for non-attendance.
